In our research, we’re finding that Irish consumers are going online before they make a purchase period. Interestingly, they’re not just going to a manufacturer’s website but to retailers’ websites as well and if there local shop is not online then to bad for that retailer he or she is losing money hand over fist out of their till to a competitor not alone in the same county but maybe right on the same street in the same town! They’re visiting, shopping and researching all aspects of their purchase, not just the actual logistics of picking out the product. They want to learn about the product, and they want to have a rich and learning experience.
